JO DEE MESSINA AND FANS PARTY EARLY AT CMA MUSIC FEST!

Jo Dee Messina treated fans to a cool morning at the 2011 Official fan club party! Held at the Belcourt theatre, fans were treated to a breakfast, a questions and answer section, and live performance!

Jo Dee performed fan favorites including “Biker Chick”, “I’m Alright”, and “That’s God;” as well as her much loved cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Jo Dee also performed her new song “Carry Me” to benefit AMillionDoors.com to help build a school just outside Nashville.

Messina also introduced new friend and fellow songwriter Crystal Bowersox to perform a few of her songs during the show. You could tell the two singer/songwriters have made fast friends by the laughing and kidding around they did on stage. Messina shared with the crowd that during the soundcheck the ladies were backstage were even writing a new song together. Jo Dee and JDMFC were thrilled to welcome Crystal to her first CMA Music Fest!

Each fan got a chance to meet, as well as get a picture and autograph with Messina. Take a look at a few pictures from the party!

JO DEE MESSINA ANNOUNCES JUNE 25 SHOW TO RAISE MONEY FOR JOPLIN, MO TORNADO VICTIMS

In April, multi-platinum and award-winning country singer/songwriter JO DEE MESSINA announced her “A MILLION DOORS” campaign to help raise $2.3 million for a non-profit school in Nashville, the Holy Trinity Montessori, by donating proceeds from the sale of a new song “Carry Me.”She was also working on setting up a concert tour to benefit the school–and a Saturday, June 25 show in Pittsburg, Kansas was confirmed, but funds from that show are now earmarked to help victims of the recent violent tornados that devastated the region.

After learning that promoter Al Zar lived in Joplin, MO and lost everything he had, JO DEE and KATE RILEY, the head of the Montessori school, decided the Red Cross needed the money more than their school.

The multi-platinum and award-winning country singer/songwriter has recorded a new song, the soaring “Carry Me,” which is available for a donation of one dollar at http://amilliondoors.com/. “Carry Me” will be available through July 15, with all funds going directly to the school for the construction of a new schoolhouse.

“If you contribute one dollar, you can help make a dream come true,” says the Nashville-based JO DEE. “I tour around the country and spend a great deal of time listening to people’s stories. Lately it seems that with all the sadness in the news–wars, politics, economy, etc.–people need a little restoration of hope.”
