Country music artist Jo Dee Messina, on the comeback trail from cancer, is scheduled to perform during a show at the J.S. Mack Community Center this summer.

Messina, who has had nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard country music charts, recently returned to the recording studio after undergoing six months of treatment for an unspecified type of cancer.

“She’s back up and running. She’s back on tour. We’re excited,” said Mike Strineka, co-chairman of the 44th annual country music show set for July 15 at the Mack Park fairgrounds.
