Jo Dee Messina‘s love of music and telling a good story shines bright through her songs and videos posted to You Tube. The video “Bye-Bye” to date has been played 1,907,632 times by fans, including this new Examiner fan.

Jo Dee’s music portrays that inner toughness that women admire and men drool over. She has what the playwrights try to put into words and movie makers into a feature length film. Jo Dee’s lyrics says the things women are thinking especially in her song “Bye-Bye” where she confronts her boyfriend who is afraid of committing and refuses to marry her. So in Jo Dee fashion, Jo Dee walks out leaving his excuses behind her. Jo Dee easily belts out ,”Its been long enough times up. Bye-bye love I’ll catch you later I got a lead foot down on my accelerator…” restoring her trampled heart and dignity.

Jo Dee Messina proclaims what Steve Harvey advices women, “Act like a lady, Think like a man” Steve says to put a time limit or a man’s indecision. Which is what Jo Dee Messina does in her songs. Jo Dee Messina is at the Arcada Theatre Friday night 8 p.m., 105 East Main Street, St. Charles, IL 630-962-7000, tickets are $75-$29.
