Nine Time No. 1, Multi-Platinum Selling, Award-Winning Artist Releases Brand New Single to Country Music Radio
Country music chart-topper Jo Dee Messina announced the release of her brand new single, “Reckless Love.” The song will impact Country radio on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 6:00am CT. “Reckless Love,” written by Cory Asbury, Caleb Culver, and Ran Jackson, has been recorded by artists including Asbury and Steffany Gretzinger. The track even went viral in the Pop circuit when videos emerged of Justin Bieber singing His praises through his own rendition. Messina’s version was produced by Seth Mosley and X O’Connor of Full Circle Music.
“Being such an exposed song throughout the Christian format, I had no idea people outside of that genre had never even heard it until I started playing it live,” Messina shared. “I was saddened that the message was being ‘formatted.’ It is so important that I wanted it to cross into other genres so it can be heard by those who may not already know how loved and treasured they are; how much we are worth, even on the days we feel worthless. To me, this song is not about chart position. It about the message of God’s love for every one of us.”
Messina most recently shared a Christian song she wrote with Mosley, “Bigger Than This,” on digital platforms. The track deeply touched Christian and Country music fans, as well as churches internationally, ultimately leading to an invitation for Messina perform at one of the largest churches in the United States. The lyrics have also been translated into other languages after the song transcended to other countries.
Messina’s “Reckless Love” is impacting Country radio stations tomorrow, Friday, September 28, at 6:00 am CT. It will also become available for downloading and streaming across all digital platforms, including iTunes/Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Music, Spotify, and Pandora, on Friday, October 12, 2018.
