JO DEE MESSINA TO PERFORM IN DC FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY

Don't miss your chance to see multi-platinum award winning country artist Jo Dee Messina LIVE in Washington DC. on July 4th. Jo Dee will be performing near the Washington Monument on the WAMO Stage between Madison, Ave & Jefferson, Drive. Jo Dee is scheduled to hit the stage at 8:00 PM.
Beginning at 6:00 p.m. the U.S. Navy Band performs on the Southwest corner of the grounds of the Washington Monument.
SINGER JO DEE MESSINA RAISING MONEY FOR JOPLIN

JOPLIN, Mo. — There was talk of several benefit concerts by various musical acts for Joplin following the May 22 tornado strike, but country star Jo Dee Messina had a personal connection to the disaster.
Messina, 1998’s top new female vocalist, will perform a benefit concert for Joplin’s tornado victims inside Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium tomorrow night.
Originally, Messina and her longtime promoter, Joplin resident Al Zar, had launched a series of benefit concerts to help raise $2.3 million for a non-profit school in Nashville, Tenn. One of those stops included Pittsburg, Kan.

For country music star Jo Dee Messina, it is all about the music.
The award-winning artist was supposed to kick off her “Million Doors” fundraising campaign to help build a school in Nashville, Tenn. However, because of the deadly tornado that recently devastated Joplin, Mo., she will donate designated proceeds to the American Red Cross for Joplin relief, instead.
Messina has produced six No. 1 singles on the country music charts and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. In addition, in 1998, she was awarded Top New Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music.

In December, Jo Dee Messina sang with the full Nashville Symphony. In two weeks, she'll be backed by a much smaller ensemble from the Grammy Award-winning orchestra and a few members of her own band when she headlines this year's Music & Memories benefit concert at the FiftyForward Martin Center.

Messina is no stranger to benefit concerts and appearances. In fact, the Grammy-nominated country singer/songwriter has made giving back a priority in recent years. On May 12, she flew to Maryland to perform in this year's "America's Veterans - A Musical Tribute" along with the United States Air Force Band, Irish tenor Ronan Tynan, legendary jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and others that PBS will broadcast on Veteran's Day.

Jo Dee Messina treated fans to a cool morning at the 2011 Official fan club party! Held at the Belcourt theatre, fans were treated to a breakfast, a questions and answer section, and live performance!
Jo Dee performed fan favorites including "Biker Chick", "I'm Alright", and "That's God;" as well as her much loved cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'." Jo Dee also performed her new song "Carry Me" to benefit AMillionDoors.com to help build a school just outside Nashville.
Messina also introduced new friend and fellow songwriter Crystal Bowersox to perform a few of her songs during the show. You could tell the two singer/songwriters have made fast friends by the laughing and kidding around they did on stage. Messina shared with the crowd that during the soundcheck the ladies were backstage were even writing a new song together. Jo Dee and JDMFC were thrilled to welcome Crystal to her first CMA Music Fest!
