Jo Dee Messina was well on her way to achieving the massive amounts of success that she deservedly had earned with her album Delicious Surprise that spawned the huge hit single "My Give A Damn's Busted." She delivers a simple thought that is all too often forgotten as she asks the listener questions about feeling the sun on your face, looking at the ocean, mountaintops going to the sky, etc… and then explaining very simply that all of that is God. As the song unfolds we see her hit aspects that are even closer to home for most as she talks about a child and the smile on their face. Within' the chorus comes the true selling point to the song when she states that it doesn't necessarily have to be something big, but rather just the little things that show you God is all around. Messina openly admits that she was in a low period when this realization came to her and it's usually in the down point of someone's life when one realizes its most important aspects. Jo Dee Messina was able to capture her emotions with this song and deliver a top-notch lyric that everyone could benefit from listening to in the times we find ourselves living in right now.
