In Support Of The Fight Against Breast Cancer
The Grand Ole Opry is joining the fight against breast cancer this Friday, (10/2) with Opry Goes Pink, and it is getting some help from one of America’s favorite morning news program personalities.
ABC-TVs Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, herself a breast cancer survivor, will be a special guest announcer for a portion of the night’s first show.
Follow up:
The Greater Nashville Affiliate Susan G. Komen for the Cure® 2009 Honorary Survivor of the Year Tracie Shelby will be on-stage as well.
On each of the night’s shows, Carrie Underwood will “flip the switch,” turning the Opry’s signature barn backdrop pink in support of the groups Women Rock for the Cure and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
The shows performers are Carrie Underwood, Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina, Lorrie Morgan and Mindy Smith.
If you're planning a trip to Nashville and want to attend, be sure to mention the code OpryPink when ordering your tickets, and $5.00 goes to one of these organizations.
