Messina Gets Ready To Launch Burn With A CMT "All Access" Live Concert Kicks Off Her New Project With A Bang July 26

Nashville: Jo Dee Messina, the redheaded country firebrand, is known for being a high impact singing sensation. So it makes sense that she'd want to kick-off the follow-up to her double-platinum I'm Alright with something that would let her sink her teeth into the music that is Burn, due August 1.

Follow up:

To that end, Messina and her band are set to do a very special "All Access" on CMT, July 26 that may just have a surprise or two.

For the Holliston, Massachuesetts-born and -raised award-winning singer, bringing her music to life onstage is where the songs truly become finished -- so CMT's "All Access" lets the woman who's shared tours with George Strait, Vince Gill and the Judds share Burn with her fans the way Jo Dee likes best: upclose and personal.

"These are songs that are meant to be heard by people," Messina says. "And I'm very honored that CMT is letting me bring my new record to the fans this way. We've been rehearsing and getting ready…and with country radio supporting 'That's The Way,' I think people want to see and hear these new songs."

For Messina, "All Access" also marks the spunky Horizon Award winner's increased involvement with the production process. Rather than leaving all the technical decisions in the hands of others, Messina and her DreamBound Productions have stepped up to actually take a role producing the show - giving Messina both additional responsibility and input.

"I think it's exciting to be more involved," Messina says. "I had no idea everything that comes with the title, but it's an amazing learning experience. I think it'll have impact on a lot of other parts of my career as well…and anything that broadens you, I think, makes you better."

Messina is Billboard's Most Played Country Female of 1999 -- and she's the first woman to have three consecutive multiple week #1s, a distinction that led her to four of the Top 10 most played songs of the last two years (1998's #2 "I'm Alright," 1999's #3 "Lesson In Leavin'," 1998's "Bye, Bye" and 1999's "Stand Beside Me"). She has won the Boston Music Awards Female Vocalist, Country Artist and Artist of the Year where she beat local favorites Aerosmith, Paula Cole, Rob Zombie and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones for the honor and become a perennial Female Vocalist of the Year nominee at the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Country Weekly/TNN Music Awards.

With "All Access" on July 26, get ready to watch the hardest working girl in show business go into overdrive. With a will to win and a spirit that reflects the hopes, dreams and ability to bounce back that reflects her audience, Jo Dee Messina is set for another great year. Step back and watch her burn.
