January 11, 2007- On the heels of a very successful USO/AFE tour in Italy multi-platinum recording artist Jo Dee Messina heads back to Nashville to join fellow country artists and NASCAR drivers for the two-day Sprint Sound & Speed event presented by SunTrust, January 12th and 13th. The event, a celebration of country music and Motorsports, will benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum charities and the Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with serious illnesses.

January 2, 2007- Multi-platinum recording artist Jo Dee Messina is set to kick off the New Year with her first USO/Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) Tour which will visit Naples, Venice, and Vicenza in Italy. While on the five day tour, set to begin on January 5th, Jo Dee will perform some of her hits as well as songs from her latest certified Gold album Delicious Surprise. Jo Dee recently performed at the USO’s 65th Anniversary Gala last September, and is looking forward to lending her continued support by entertaining and meeting with service members and their families during the tour.

“It’s an honor to be part of anything that supports our men and women in the military,” said Jo Dee. “I believe that it is so important to show our appreciation and support for all that they do to protect and serve our country. I’m looking forward to a good time and some great shows.”

ESCONDIDO -- Barona's annual "Carols by Candlelight," benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, will take place at 8 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9 at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. Performers will include Jo Dee Messina, Jamie O'Neal, Ty Herndon, Hal Ketchum and Buck Howdy.

This family event will include celebrity performers singing holiday songs, as well as their own hits on stage, and leading the audience in outdoor caroling by candlelight after the performance.

November 29, 2006 – Country superstar Jo Dee Messina will help the town of Breckenridge, CO ring in the holiday season December 2nd with the annual Lighting of Breckenridge. Jo Dee is set to join Santa in the old-fashioned celebration of lighting the Town Tree and then will give a free concert to guests and locals to celebrate the magic of the holidays.

Hitmaker Monty Powell turned around the new composition in less than 24 hours, and Storme will unveil the finished product on Country Music Across America. Nashville, TN) - The International Entertainment Buyer’s Association (ieba) had a special presentation for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band honoring their 40th anniversary in the business at this year’s conference. VAN WERT - The Van Wert County Special Olympic softball team had an unscheduled game Sunday with country music star Jo Dee Messina and her band. MESSINA HAD MORE ON HER MIND THAN MUSIC

Jo Dee Messina had more on her mind than music when she came to Van Wert County Sunday. During a surprise visit Sunday morning at Smiley Park, Messina showed she's about more than just being a musician.

Messina's cause is Special Olympics and Sunday morning, she took the softball field with local Special Olympians - and they gave Messina and company more than they bargained for.
