BEAVER CREEK - Getting ready to tour on her fourth studio album, "Delicious Surprise," country star Jo Dee Messina is at home in Nashville Wednesday morning, packing her things and kissing her dogs - Bella, Russell, Gizmo and Buddy - goodbye.

VD: What is your first musical memory?

I just remember sitting at the piano, the way it felt, how big it was, how my legs felt hanging from the bench and reaching for the keys and how big the keys felt. My mom actually has a picture of me when I'm 9-months old at the piano. more!

JO DEE ELECTRIFIES BURGETTSTOWN

Country star Jo Dee Messina brought her sassy energy to the stage Friday night, when she gave an electrifying concert at the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse in Burgettstown.

Much of the evening was spent pumping up the nearly sold-out crowd with her anthems celebrating girl power and self-respect, such as "My Give a Damn's Busted" and "Bye Bye." Messina alternated between the roles of singer and comedian, and entertained the audience as much with witty words as she did with music. more!

JO DEE HELPED RAISE $35,000 FOR HOMETOWN SCHOOL

The Holliston Music Parents Association is pleased to announce that the proceeds from the Jo Dee Messina Concert held last September totaled nearly $35,000. The funds were raised from ticket sales to the concert, and the sale of commemorative t-shirts and refreshments. more!

Two worlds collided on Monday night's Tonight Show when Ross the Intern ran into Jo Dee Messina in a coffee house in Turin. Jo Dee is serving as a "correspondent" for Westwood One network's country stations.

"Oh, my God, it's Jo Dee Messina! How are you?" Ross shrieked in trademark effeminate voice. "I didn't even know they had country music in Italy!"

AN OLYMPIC GOAL FOR JO DEE MESSINA

February 15, 2005 – Torino, Italy – Country Superstar Jo Dee Messina has been in Torino, Italy covering the Olympics as a special correspondent for Westwood One since the beginning of the games. Over the weekend, after spending time walking around the Olympic Village and taking in such events as the Men’s 1500 Speedskating final as well as the Pairs free program figure skating, Jo Dee got to spend some quality time with the U.S. Women’s Hockey team, after practice in their locker room.

Country Music superstar and avid sports fan, Jo Dee Messina, as an exclusive correspondent from the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. Thanks to all that came out to see Jo Dee during the Sound and Speed event in Nashville. Due to unfortunate occurrences that are characteristic of any event in its infancy, scheduling was changed without prior notice to Jo Dee’s management, and many fans missed seeing her because of incorrect information printed in the Sound and Speed materials. Jo Dee was thrilled to come out later in the day and sign for all that she could and say hi to all her NASCAR friends. We thank all the fans and everyone that was involved that “Rolled with the Punches” and made this such a successful first time event.
